On Thursday 1st June 2023, Chicago Illinois will be the busiest town on this side of the country when the iconic Briar Street Theatre brings the world famous performance arts company, and winner of the 2011 Off Broadway Alliance Awards' Audience Choice Award for Best Long-Running Show The Blue Man Group to it’s stage! The first public appearance by this group was a celebration of the end of the 1980s. The three men wore blue masks and led a street procession that included the burning of a Rambo doll and a piece of the Berlin Wall. In the late 1980s, three friends worked together to create something unique, fun, and amazing. The Blue Man Group, as they would come to be called, celebrated the end of the 80s with public street demonstrations that quickly found an audience in the Astor Place Theatre in 1991. Ever since then, Blue Man Group has captured the imaginations of audiences from Vegas to New York and even to Germany, Berlin. The troupe performs regularly across the world with performances that feature audience participation, unique instruments made of pipes, and poignant stories regarding isolation and other relatable topics. Today, Blue Man Group has found a place in the hearts of audiences across the globe and the producers hope to find their way into yours as well.
